Going to be on Channel 4 news!!

Great news!!   Today I was interviewed by Channel 4 news!!  Literally as I was typing this!!  I think we will be on the news tomorrow night at 11pm.. channel 4 Boston!  Be sure to tune in!!  It will be about my story,  our journey, and our race!   And of course about my baby!! Crazy how this has just taken off!   But again this is an important way to share my story, raise awareness, raise money for Dana-Farber and to again remind people to give yourself regular check ups!!  And click on promisetome.com

You have all been so supportive of me!   I couldn't have been this positive without you!   And in 3 weeks our little girl will be here!!   Are you excited??   We are!!

And don't forget about the race!!  August 7th!  Join us and  make a difference! http://www.wontlaydown2cancer.com/

  1. I just happened upon your story on Comcast news and I just *had* to tell you that you are wonderful! I read through your blogs and I can't tell you how brave I perceive you to be. Your baby is going to be a lucky girl to have such a positive, strong female role model in her life.
I am sending all of my positive thoughts and healing your way!

  4. I am sorry if this email is long, but I felt compelled to write to you just so you would know you are not alone in this journey and to show you that you can have your happy ending after all!

I am 37 and was diagnosed with breast cancer at 31, 10 months after my son was born. I went through the lumpectomy, the chemo, the mastectomy, 3 reconstructive surgeries and all that comes with it. My husband and I struggled on whether we should even think about having another child. After I was cancer free for 3 years, we had a very short period of trying to have a child, before I needed my ovaries out by my 35 birthday. A miracle happened and 3 months later, we were expecting our second child. That is really the only place our story differs. I made it through the pregnancy, and just celebrated being cancer free for 6 years with my husband, 6 year old son and 2 year old daughter. I don't want to make this about my experience, but I would have loved to have know someone, anyone, who could relate to what I was going through. Everyone told me everything would be okay, but how did they know. Well I DO know it can be okay and wanted you to know too! Stay strong, have faith and enjoy every minute with your new little miracle. One last thought that has gotten me through this all is...

"I don't think of all the misery but of the beauty that still remains." ~Anne Frank

I found in the face of adversity, my son helped me through as yours will too! I am in radiation now; know that there is light at the end!! My blog is www.positivelylisa.com if you would like to connect. Having people to talk with has always helped me though it seems you have excellent supports! My best to you! Lisa
